Park Community Credit Union Scholarship
Park Community Credit Union is proud to play a part in the continuing education of the youth in our credit union family. We would like to assist you in the ever-rising costs of higher education through our scholarship program. Completion of this scholarship application is the first step in the application process for the Park Community Credit Union Scholarship.
Park Community Credit Union employees and their immediate family members are not eligible for this scholarship.
Only those students who have submitted all required documentation by the stated deadline will be considered as eligible candidates for the award. We are pleased that you are applying for this scholarship and we encourage you to take special care when completing this application.
Each applicant must be a member (have a share/savings account) of Park Community Credit Union in good standing and must include each item below to meet the criteria of a “completed” application.
1. High School transcript with cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 or class rank.
2. Personal letter of recommendation.
3. Composition of 1000 or more words that reflects a marketing plan targeting college students. You can choose to use Park Community Credit Union’s products and services that are currently offered as a part of your plan, but you may also come up with new products, services, or programs that would attract college aged members.
4. Completion of the attached Scholarship Application.
Your completed application must be submitted by June 15, 2020.
An independent selection committee will screen all applications and make a final selection of the scholarship winner. The Park Community Credit Union Scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who excels in academics and extra curricular activities and who demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the benefits of credit union membership. The scholarship winner will receive a maximum of $500.00 for each year of college attended for a maximum of four consecutive years (a total scholarship of $2,000). The award may be used to pay for books, tuition, room and board, or other related educational expenses. To remain eligible, the scholarship winner must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 each year, carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and must submit official documentation of all grades or scores no later than July 1.
The scholarship winner will be notified by phone by June 28th. All other candidates will be notified by mail by July 31st.
